ISAAC 2014: Paper submission closes on 15th November

Have you submitted your ISAAC 2014 abstract yet? The link to the ISAAC 2014 Paper Submission Portal is live, and will remain open until November 15th, 2013 (18:00 GMT).

Papers can be submitted online at: https://www.isaac-online.org/english/conference-2014/call-for-papers/. The ISAAC 2014 Paper Submission Guidelines can be downloaded from our website in English here, as well as in Portuguese here. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by February 15th, 2014.

The overall conference theme is “Descobrir a Comunicação – Discover Communication”. People who use AAC and their families, as well as people who work with them in the field of AAC, are continually making important discoveries. We will showcase many such discoveries at our conference in Lisbon. Together we will celebrate the history of ISAAC and AAC, and the enormous development we have seen over the last 30 years.

The 2014 Conference will feature three program streams:

  • Perspectives, experiences, and engagement of consumers and families
  • AAC clinical practices and professional education
  • Research and development to inform the field of AAC

Your abstract will join the many submissions already received from around the world, covering a range of perspectives: speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, education, technology, rehabilitation, health care, and the lived experience of people who use AAC and their families. Although the main language of the conference is English, paper submissions are also welcome in Portuguese. The Conference 2014 organizers will make every effort to offer as many sessions as possible in both languages. Please note that Portuguese paper submissions must include a Short Abstract in both English and Portuguese, with the Long or Extended Abstract submitted in Portuguese only.
